About

Ditchling crossroads by John Vernon Lord

Art in Ditchling is a group of local artists who participate in Brighton Artists Open Houses during The Brighton Festival in May each year.  The Art in Ditchling Trail showcases a range of high quality art, design and craft in houses, studios and workshops.

Ditchling is a picturesque and historic village just north of Brighton and the South Downs, with a rich artistic heritage including The Guild of St Joseph & St Dominic and Frank Brangwyn.  Family members and many artists in and around the village continue these crafts and skills today.

As well as the trail Ditchling has two excellent pubs, The Bull and The White Horse, and tearooms The Nutmeg Tree and The Green Welly.

Ditchling Museum of Art+Craft has a permanent collection celebrating the artistic history of the village as well as hosting temporary exhibitions.
