Stroll across the fields south from the Ditchling War Memorial crossing the Rugby Club pitch or follow the wide grass verge from Beacon Road to reach 14 Clayton Road, where you will find Jenny KilBride, silk weaver and dyer. In her garden workshop you will be able to see the vegetable-dyed silk scarves she weaves on her four shaft George Maxwell loom. In the garden and orchard around the workshop you will find examples of work by an outstanding group of locally based stone carvers and letter cutters. All the exhibitors can trace a direct link to the craftsmen who worked at the Guild of St Joseph and St Dominic on Ditchling Common in the early 20th century.
Open 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 and 28 May. 11.00 am – 5.00 pm
