Miranda Ellis – paintings and Richard Heanley – garden furniture and sculpture are TwoFree at Chy Morvah.

Miranda Ellis’s paintings remain focussed on Ditchling landscape which can be home to sheep and elusive deer. Miranda works on the spot in all weathers as a starting point using a range of media including watercolour and then in the studio she develops this into further drawings and paintings using mainly charcoal, collage and oils. She abstracts and simplifies from her starting point, in a quest  to find the underlying essence.

Richard Heanley is a blacksmith with a forge near Lewes. He makes bespoke garden furniture besides garden ornaments and quirky sculpture. His garden furniture sits well in the garden at Chy Morvah and the inventive animals, birds and fish will magically appear from within Chy Morvah’s wild jungle.

Chy Morvah is set back from the road in East End Lane, next to the old “Scout Hut”. You can’t miss it! We look forward to seeing you there!
